Application for an Emergency Exemption

Antonov hereby applies for an emergency exemption pursuant to 49 U.S.C. §§ 40109(g) and 41703(c), to permit Antonov to operate up to twelve one-way all-cargo charter flights transporting outsized hurricane relief cargo, plus ancillary relief goods and equipment, from Charleston AFB, South Carolina to San Juan (Roosevelt Rhodes Naval Air Station), Puerto Rico, utilizing Antonov's AN124-100 aircraft, between September 25, 1998 and October 25, 1998.

Exemption pursuant to 49 U.S.C. section 40109(g) to operate 12 one-way emergency cabotage charter flights Charlestown AFB, SC, to San Juan (Roosevelt Rhodes Naval Air Station), Puerto Rico, during the period September 25-October 25, 1998, using its AN-124 aircraft on behalf of Diplomat Freight Services to transport cargo consisting of outsized refrigerated ice containers, plus ancillary relief goods and equipment to assist in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's hurricane recovery activities following Hurricane Georges.
