Northwest seeks an exemption from 49 U.S.C. § 41101 authorizing Northwest to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between the United States and Lome, Togo, via Amsterdam, the Netherlands, pursuant to a code-share arrangement with KLM. Northwest intends to provide this service by displaying its two letter designator code on KLM's Amsterdam-Lome flights. Northwest does not intend to hold out service in the local Amsterdam-Lome market, but rather will sell transportation between points in the United States and Lome, Togo only.

Northwest intends to operate this service pursuant to a code-share arrangement with KLM Airlines.

Northwest Airlines, Inc. hereby advises that it does not intend to seek renewal of its exemption to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between the United States and Lome, Togo, last granted by Notice of Action Taken dated March 15, 2002 and effective through March 15, 2004. Northwest offered U.S.-Tome service, via Amsterdam, pursuant to a code-share arrangement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. KLM has since suspended service between Amsterdam and Lome, Togo.
