Aer Turas holds a foreign air permit authorizing it to conduct all-cargo charters between Ireland and the U.S. and other all-cargo charters subject to Part 212 of the Department's regulations. Aer Turas' foreign air carrier permit was last renewed by Order 96-3-10. Aer Turas conducts worldwide cargo and passenger operations. In 1998, Aer Turas carried 110,448 passengers on charters worldwide. Aer Turas hopes to resume passenger charters to and from the U.S. in the near future. There have been no significant changes in the ownership or management of Aer Turas since its foreign air permit was renewed.
