Delta Air Lines, Inc. OST-2003-15504 - Exemption - Antigua, Brazil and Colombia Codesharing with Continental Airlines June 24, 2003 hereby applies, pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 40109 and Subpart C of the Department's Rules of Practice, for an exemption from 49 U.S.C. § 41101 authorizing Delta to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between (1) Newark and Antigua; (2) Newark and Houston, on the one hand, and Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on the other hand; (3) Newark and Houston, on the one hand, and Bogota, Colombia, on the other hand; and (4) the U.S.-Mexico transborder citypairs identified in Exhibit A. Delta requests route integration authority to permit Delta to combine service on these routes with all other Delta services authorized by its existing certificates and exemptions, to the extent permitted by applicable international agreements. Delta further requests that the Department issue new or amended U.S. carrier codeshare notifications to the Mexican Director General of Civil Aviation to the extent necessary to authorize Delta to codeshare on new transborder routes either with Continental Airlines, Inc. or ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. d/b/a Continental Express. These routes are identified on Exhibit A and include routes where Delta is already offering service, either independently or with another codeshare partner.
