Application for an Exemption

Motion for Confidential Treatment

Azure Aviation, Ltd., a flag carrier of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, respectfully requests an exemption to permit it to engage in charter foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between a point or points in the Bahamas and a point or points in Florida, and other charters subject to Part 212 of the Department's Economic Regulations, using small aircraft as defined in 14 CFR § 298.2. So that Azure may begin the proposed services, it requests that the Department grant the requested authority expeditiously and for an initial period of one year.

Azure is a Bahamian flag carrier headquartered at Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. It was formed in 2018 and is wholly-owned by Bahamian citizens.

Application for Renewal and Amendment of an Exemption

Azure Aviation, Ltd. respectfully requests that the Department: (1) renew the above-captioned exemption, granted by Notice of Action Taken dated February 4, 2020; and (2) amend the exemption to permit Azure Aviation to engage in “charter foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between a point or points in the Bahamas and a point or points in the United States, and other charters pursuant to 14 CFR Part 212 of the Department’s regulations, using small aircraft."

The Bahamian government issued Azure Aviation the attached Licence, dated March 6, 2021, to perform charter air transportation, among other things, between the Bahamas and the United States (unlike its prior licences, which listed Florida instead of the US).
